What type of services will you be offering?
I will be offering behavioral health and substance use counseling services using a client-centered and strengths-based approach. My goal is to support individuals throughout their mental health and recovery journeys while helping them build lasting change and overall wellness.
What age groups of patients will you be seeing?
I will primarily be working with adults seeking support for mental health and substance use concerns.
What inspired you to become an LCSW?
A combination of personal experiences, life lessons, and interpersonal challenges inspired me to return to school 15 years after graduating high school. Once I began working as a treatment associate in an inpatient withdrawal management setting, I realized I had found my calling in behavioral health and became passionate about helping others navigate recovery and healing.
What made you want to join VNACJ Community Health Center?
The Visiting Nurse Association Health Group has always held a special place in my heart because I have referred many clients there throughout the years and consistently witnessed the compassionate, high-quality care they received. I deeply admire the organization’s commitment to underserved communities and its holistic approach to addressing the needs that support healing, growth, and long-term change.
What is your approach to helping clients feel comfortable and supported?
My approach is rooted in building a strong therapeutic alliance and creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard and respected. I meet individuals where they are in their mental health and substance use recovery journeys and provide unconditional positive regard, compassion, and encouragement throughout the process. I believe engagement and trust are essential for meaningful change.
What are you most passionate about within mental health care?
I am most passionate about helping individuals feel empowered in their recovery while providing compassionate, evidence-based care. I care deeply about supporting underserved populations and helping clients recognize their strengths so they can achieve meaningful and lasting change.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
Outside of work, I’m a proud dog dad to my dog Oliver, who plays a huge role in my self-care and helps me maintain balance and wellness outside of the workplace.
