Welcome to National Health Center Week 2026

National Health Center Week is an annual celebration recognizing the vital role community health centers play in providing high-quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to millions of people across the nation.

For more than 30 years, the VNACJ Community Health Center has been committed to improving the health and well-being of our communities. Today, we offer comprehensive services including Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Dental Care, Prenatal Care, On-Site Blood Testing, Chiropractic Services, Reproductive Health, Ryan White Program services, Medication Assisted Treatment/Recovery Care, and we proudly remain home to New Jersey’s first LGBTQ+ Center for Health & Wellness. With locations in Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, and Keyport, we serve more than 17,000 patients each year.

This year’s National Health Center Week celebrations brought together hundreds of community members, healthcare providers, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners for two incredible events focused on health, wellness, and community connection.

In Asbury Park, nearly 100 community members attended and connected with 36 resource organizations while receiving valuable health information and services. In Freehold, more than 200 community members joined us and visited 40 resource tables offering information, support, and community resources.

Thanks to the support of our partners at CentreState Healthcare System and the Global Grace Health Mobile Clinic, attendees had access to free A1C screenings and blood pressure checks. For the first time, we also offered free dental screenings, helping families connect to important oral health services. Families enjoyed free bookbag and school supply giveaways as they prepared for the upcoming school year, and guests were treated to delicious food and ice cream provided by Jersey Freeze.
