The VNACJ Community Health Center staff is expanding to best serve the health needs of the community. This is the first in a series of New Provider interviews, aimed at helping our patients and the community in general, to better know the first class team that is serving them. Vincent Martino is a Chiropractor who comes to us with over thirty years of experience and is a resident of Asbury Park. He will be performing Chiropractic services in all four locations: Asbury Park, Keyport, Freehold and Red Bank.
1. As an Asbury Park resident, how does it feel to serve your own community?
Serving my community in Asbury Park is deeply fulfilling. Being a part of a place where I have built connections allows me to contribute to the well-being of my neighbors. It’s rewarding to see the positive impact of my work on people I know, fostering a sense of trust and commitment that enriches both my life and theirs.
2. As a healthcare provider, how meaningful is it for you to connect with and support the LGBTQIA+ community?
Connecting with and supporting the LGBTQIA+ community is incredibly meaningful to me. I believe that everyone deserves access to compassionate healthcare that respects their identity and experiences. By actively promoting an environment of inclusivity, I aim to empower individuals within the community and help them feel accepted and cared for. It’s enriching to be a part of their health journeys and advocate for their specific needs.
3. What inspired you to pursue a career in Chiropractic care?
My inspiration to pursue a career in Chiropractic care stemmed from my fascination with the human body and its ability to heal itself. After experiencing firsthand the benefits of Chiropractic treatment in my own life, I realized how transformative it can be. I wanted to be part of that healing process for others, promoting both physical well-being and overall health through a holistic approach.
4. Why did you choose to join the team at the VNA Community Health Center?
I chose to join the team at the VNA Community Health Center because I resonate with their mission to provide accessible and comprehensive healthcare to the community. Their commitment to serving diverse populations and addressing varying health needs aligns perfectly with my values as a healthcare provider. I appreciate the collaborative environment that encourages learning and growth, allowing me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
5. What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone considering seeing a Chiropractor for the first time?
Someone considering seeing a Chiropractor for the first time should approach the experience with an open mind and communicate clearly about any concerns or expectations. It’s important to understand that Chiropractic care is a partnership between the provider and the patient. Asking questions and being engaged in the process can lead to a more effective treatment and a better understanding of personal health.
6. What do you enjoy most about being a Chiropractor?
What I enjoy most, is the opportunity to witness the positive transformations in my patients’ lives. It’s incredibly gratifying to help people alleviate pain, enhance mobility, and improve their overall quality of life. Building relationships with my patients and being a part of their journey towards better health keeps me motivated and passionate about my work.
7. What’s a fun fact about you that not many people know?
A fun fact about me, that not many people know, is that I am an avid surfer! I love spending time in the ocean. Riding the waves offers a unique perspective on balance and energy that I often draw parallels to in my chiropractic practice.
