KEANSBURG- (September 15, 2012) The VNACJ Community Health Center (CHC) in Keansburg held its annual Community Day, Saturday, September 15. More than twenty community partners were on hand, including Bayshore Senior Health, Education and Recreation Center. Both the Keansburg Community Center and the new Bayshore Senior Center are located at 100 Main Street in Keansburg.

The Keansburg Community Health Center provides comprehensive primary and preventive health care services for people of all ages, including wellness services such as physical exams, screenings, immunizations. Prenatal care is also available at two Health Center locations. The Center’s Community Day offered a variety of activities including free health screenings, health education, games and a raffle. A DJ played music. Refreshments and prizes were given out throughout the day.

“It’s was a great opportunity to let Keansburg residents of all ages see our facility and learn more about the services we offer as well as the resources that are available through the community,” said Sarita Gogan, BSN, RN, director of nursing, VNACJ Community Health Center.
The Center accepts Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance, and also provides care for individuals who are uninsured or under-insured. The VNACJ Community Health Center, Inc., is designated a Federally Qualified Health Center by the U. S. Public Health Service and has additional locations in Asbury Park, Red Bank, and Keyport.
